DELHI/LUCKNOW/BALRAMPUR
Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Lucknow. Arrive in Lucknow and visit the city. Afternoon drive 150 kms/4 hrs to Balrampur. Overnight in Hotel. |

BALRAMPUR/VARANASI
Visit Sravasti and other Buddhist shrines in Balrampur in the morning. Thereafter, drive 160 kms/4 hrs to the holy city of Varanasi. Overnight in Hotel |

VARANASI
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges. and visit to the temples. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, the principal centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 BC that Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining the enlightenment at Boudhgaya. Drive back to Varanasi for the overnight in Hotel. |

VARANASI/BOUDHGAYA
After breakfast drive 250 kms/6 hrs to Boudhgaya which is one of the holiest pilgrimage centers of Buddisht. It was here that Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment. Overnight in Hotel. |

BOUDHGAYA
After breakfast, we make a city sightseeing tour of Boudhgaya. Some of the important places that we visit are Mahabodhi temple, Japanese and Tibetan monasteries, Megadha University and the Museum. Overnight in Hotel. |

BOUDHGAYA/RAJGIR
Rajgir is an another important Buddhisht pilgrimage site as Buddha spent 12 years here and the first Buddhist council after Buddha attained nirvana was held here. We visit Borobar Coves ealiest examples of rock cut sanctuaries. Most impressive craftsmanship of carving and inscriptions can be found there. These caves are also the inspiration of the setting of E.M. Foresters “A passage to India”. Overnight in Hotel. |

RAJGIR/NALANDA/PATNA
Drive to Nalanda, world’s oldest University founded in 5th century BC. It was an important Buddhisht center until its sacking by the Afgans in the 12th century. When Chinese scholar and traveler Xuan Zang visited here in 685 AD and 762 AD, about 10000 monks and students resided here. The extensive brick-built remains include the Great Stupa, with steps, terraces and a few intact votive stupas around it and the monks cell. We also see Archelogical Museum. Overnight in Hotel. |

PATNA/VAISHALI/KUSHINAGAR
After breakfast drive to Kushinager, the place where the Buddha passed into parinirvan. Enroute we visit Vashali, the place where Buddha preached his last sermon announcing his approaching Nirvana. Visit Stupas, holding urns containing ashes of the Buddha and Ashok Pillar which were erected by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka to mark the place sanctified by Buddha. Overnight in Hotel in Kushinagar. |

KUSHINAGAR/LUMBINI
We drive to Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha who is also known as the Tathagata. The place has several beautiful shrines which have been built by devotees from different Buddhisht countries. A visit to Lumbini is not only for spiritual enlightenment but also solance and satisfaction that one gets in this calm and peaceful place. It is said that Buddha himself identified four places for future pilgrimage – the sites of his birth, enlightenment, first discour and death. All these events happened outside in nature under trees. LUMBINI/KATHMANDU
We drive to Kathmandu. Drapped along the spine of Himalaya, Nepal is a land of sublime scernery, temples and rich in scenic splendour and cultural treasure. Overnight in Hotel. |

After breakfast we make a city tour visiting some Buddhist monasteries and other monuments like Pashupatinath, Patan and Bhaktapur. Overnight in Hotel.
