BHUBNESHWAR
After breakfast sightseeing of Bhubaneshwar – the ‘Cathedral City’ was once the capital of an ancient kingdom. There were hundreds of temples in Bhubneshwar earlier and some of which said to have graced the city once, still survive. In the moning we visit Udaygiri and Khandagiri caves which are originally a Jain Monastery. We make a city tour in the afternoon visiting Lingaraj Temple, Dhaula Giri, Rajrani Temple Parasurameshvara , Mukteshwara Temple and Kedar Gauri Temple. The city is the bustling centre for commerce and religious activities today. Overnight in hotel. |

BHUBNESHWAR/KONARK/PURI
Drive 65 km/2 hrs to Konark Sun Temple which is also known as Black Pagoda, a crowing piece of Orissan architecture and sculpture . The Sun Temple here was constructed in the mid 13th Century. The entire temple was conceived as a chariot of the Sun God, a ptotected monument under the World Heritage list is the crowning piece of Orissan architecture and sculpture. We drive 35 kms/1 hr along the Marine drive to Puri which is one of the holiest points of pilgrimage for Hindus. Overnight in hotel |

PURI/GOPALPUR-ON-SEA
After breakfast visit 12th century AD Lord Jagannath temple in Puri which is a majestic
65 m tall structure standing on an elevated plateform which is visible from far out to Sea. Lord Jaganath is of the incarnations of Vishnu, the Lord of Universe. After visiting the temple we drive 135 kms/3 hrs to Gopalpur-on-Sea, a peaceful seaside village. Gopalpur on Sea is an ancient sea port which is used now by the fischermen. Overnight in hotel. |

GOPALPUR-ON-SEA/VISHAKHAPATNAM
Drive 275 kms/7 hrs to Vishakhapatnam. Also known as Vizag in short, the city is enclosed by blue mountains on three sides and a shimmering silver sea on the other. Vishakhapatnam is the largest seaport on the eastern coast housing major government-controlled industies like steel, fertilizer and petroleum. Rest of the time at leisure. Overnight in Hotel. |

After breakfast we proceed for the city sighseeing. Some of the important places that we visit are Golconda Fort- a massive 13th century structure with am impressive acoustic system, Charminar – the most famous of Hderabad’s symbol, Salarjung Museum – features the years old and priceless collection from all over the world and Mecca Masjd which is the second largest and 7th largest in the world. We may also visit Ramoji film city – a fantastic creation in over 100 acres depicting the complete world assisting the dream merchants of India. Overnight in Hortel. |

HYDERABAD/BIDAR/GULBARGA
Drive 135 kms/3 hrs to Bidar which is known for its bidriware craftswork – a unique craftwork which involves moulding zinc, copper lrad and tin. After visiting Bidar we drive 170 kms/4 hrs further to Gulbarga and visit Gulbarga’s Fort, reputated to have been built by a Moorish architect who imitated the great mosque in Cordoba in Spain. GULBARGA/BIJAPUR
Drive 125 kms/3 hrs to Bijapur and visit Golgumbaz, Ibrahamim Roza Museum, Jama Masjid and the Citadel. It’s a distinguished town with a wealth of scattered ruins and still-intact gems of 15th to 17th century Muslim architecture. It is dotted with mosques, musoleums, palaces and fortifications including world famous golgumbaz. Overnight in Hotel. |

BIJAPUR/BADAMI
After breakfast we drive 150 kms/4 hrs to Badami which is set in a beautiful countryside at the foot of a stunning red sandstone ridge. There are some beautiful caves of 6th century dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu,Jainism and 5th century Agastyatirtha Tank and Bhutnath Temple. We visit these places on arrival and explore Badami’s laneways where you find old houses and a wide range of doimestic and farm animals. Ovenight in Hotel. |

BADAMI
Excursion to Pattadakal and Aihohe. There are Verupaksha and Mallikrjuna temples in Pattadakal which are built 740-45 AD on the basis of the pillar inscription put up to record a grant to the Vijeyesara temple. Virupaklsha temple is a huge structure and massive columns are covered with intricate carvings depicting episodes from Ramayana and Mahabharat. The temples at Aihole were built between 553 AD to 642. Here we see the Hindu temple architecture in its embryonic stage. The centre of the village is a fenced enclosure with the most impresive buildings in Aihoe – Durga Temple dating from the 7th century. Drive back to Badami for the overnight. |

BADAMI/HOSPET
Hospet is 150 kms/4 hrs drive from Badami. It’s fairly a typical town with village atmosphere with bullock carts, bicycles, scooter. The main bazar with old houses and character is interesting to walk around. Overnight in Hotel. |

HOSPET/HAMPI/HOSPET
We make excursion to Hampi which was once the seat of Vijayanagar Empire and a great centre of Hindu rule for 200 years from its foundation in 1336. The place is one of India’s most remarkable former capital city sites. The rocky outcrops of the peninsula provided the 14th century Vijayanager kings with an apparently impregnable hill fortress in which they built a stupendous range of palaces and temples which are though largely in ruins but the site is still impressive. Drive back to Hospet for the overnight. |
